About This Junction Box
An IP65 junction box provides robust weather protection for electrical termination points in a solar PV installation. Whether protecting T-branch MC4 connector joints, housing string fuses, or providing a weatherproof termination point at the base of a roof, this enclosure keeps your connections safe from dust, rain, and UV degradation.
IP65 Rating Explained
The IP65 rating is defined by IEC 60529. The first digit (6) means the enclosure is completely dustproof — no particle ingress under any conditions. The second digit (5) means the enclosure protects against water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for permanent outdoor installation on South African rooftops, walls, and ground-mount structures.
