What Is the Freedom Won eTower?
The Freedom Won eTower e5000 is a 52V, 100Ah (5.12kWh nominal) LiFePO4 battery module designed for residential and small commercial solar installations. It’s manufactured by Freedom Won — Africa’s largest lithium battery manufacturer — with production facilities in South Africa. This local manufacturing is Freedom Won’s key advantage: warranty support, replacement stock, and technical assistance are all handled domestically.

SA-Made — The Local Advantage
When a Chinese-manufactured battery fails, the warranty process can take 2–6 months — involving overseas assessment, shipping, and customs. When a Freedom Won eTower fails, you contact the SA team, they assess remotely via BMS data, and dispatch a replacement within days. For residential customers who depend on their battery for load shedding every day, this responsiveness is invaluable.
Modular Stacking System
The eTower’s floor-stand stacking system accommodates up to 6 units (30kWh) in a 1.2m-tall tower that takes up less floor space than a standard appliance. Add units one by one as your energy needs grow. The BMS master unit handles the entire stack, presenting it as a single battery to your inverter.
Compatible Inverters
Freedom Won maintains active CAN bus compatibility profiles with Victron (MultiPlus and Quattro), Deye, Sunsynk, Goodwe, SMA Sunny Island, and Schneider Electric inverters. Freedom Won technical staff provide commissioning support to ensure correct configuration on first installation.

Stefan du Plessis –
The Freedom Won eTower 5kWh LiFePO4 Battery 52V is very well built and arrived well packaged from PowerVault. Installation was simple with the clear wiring diagram. We now have enough storage to run through the night on solar alone during summer. Battery has been rock solid.
Gerda Cronje –
We added a second Freedom Won eTower 5kWh LiFePO4 Battery 52V to our existing bank and doubled our overnight capacity. Both units communicate perfectly and balance the load evenly. PowerVault processed and shipped within 24 hours of payment which was impressive.
